1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to BookYourSnap ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using our mobile application, website (https://bookyoursnap.com), and related services, you ("User", "Client", or "Photographer") agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If you disagree with any portion of these terms, you must refrain from using the platform. These terms form an electronic agreement recognized under the Information Technology Act, 2000 of India.
2. Nature of the Marketplace
BookYourSnap functions as an online technology platform connecting clients seeking photography and videography services with independent third-party verified photographers. BookYourSnap provides discovery, portfolio display, direct messaging, schedule coordination, and payment processing facilitations.
3. Client Booking Obligations & Statuses
- Pending Status: When a client sends a booking request and initiates checkout, the reservation remains "Pending" until the photographer formally accepts the request.
- Confirmed Status: Once accepted by the photographer and payment is authorized, the booking becomes "Confirmed".
- Accurate Details: Clients agree to furnish precise shoot locations, contact numbers, and event schedules to ensure smooth shoot execution.
Security Notice: All communications regarding creative briefs, schedules, and pricing must occur within the BookYourSnap in-app chat. Off-platform agreements void platform dispute protections.
4. Pricing, Payments & Zero Hidden Fees
BookYourSnap maintains a strict zero-hidden-fee policy. All prices displayed on photographer profiles or custom quote breakdowns are upfront.
- Payment Processing: Transactions are securely executed through certified payment gateway partners (Razorpay). We do not store financial credentials (CVV, Net Banking PINs).
- Platform Convenience Fee: A 3% convenience fee is levied on checkout transactions to cover payment gateway interchange fees, GST (18%), and platform maintenance. This fee is strictly non-refundable upon cancellation.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations are governed by our standardized schedule:
- 100% Full Refund: For client cancellations submitted at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled shoot start time.
- 98% Refund: For cancellations between 24 and 48 hours prior to shoot time (2% cancellation handling fee).
- 97.5% Refund: For cancellations less than 24 hours prior to shoot time (2.5% artist reservation fee).
- Photographer Cancellation: Guaranteed 100% full refund to client if a photographer cancels, accompanied by priority rebooking assistance.
Approved refunds are processed immediately and reflect in the client's bank account or payment card within 5 to 7 business days.
6. Dispute Handling & No-Show Protection
In the event of a photographer no-show or material deviation from the agreed brief:
- Clients must report the incident via the in-app Support Chat or email (
bookyoursnap@gmail.com) within 48 hours of the scheduled shoot. - Our Trust & Safety team examines timestamps, chat logs, and geolocation check-in data.
- Disputes resolved in the client's favor are granted immediate full refunds.
7. Intellectual Property & Image Usage
Unless expressly negotiated differently in writing between the client and photographer:
- The client receives perpetual, royalty-free personal usage rights to all delivered high-resolution photographs.
- Photographers retain artistic authorship and the right to display select non-confidential images in their professional portfolios, subject to the client's explicit consent for private events.
8. Limitation of Liability & Contact
